Evan stepped into the Salotto 42. He was supposed to meet Cady here tonight. It was also the night she would find out who her "secret admirer" was. Of course, it was Evan. But maybe Cady didn't know that yet. Hopefully she didn't, or it would ruin his whole well-thought-out plan. Yes, he actually made a plan up. It was very unusual for him to plan something out, but what could he say? He was in love and love made you do crazy things. He was a little early, at least he thought so, he looked at his wrist watch, turns out he was about ten minutes late. He mumbled under his breath, "shoot." He glanced around, he knew that Cady had to be around here somewhere. But, now it would make it harder to find her knowing everyone had masks on. He had no clue what her mask looked like, if it covered most of her face, or hardly any of it. He only had on a simple black mask, you could totally tell who he was. He sighed, how was he going to find her here?! He began to walk, maybe he would get lucky and he would find her or maybe she'd find him. If only he could be places on time.
Then as he was walking around, it finally hit him. What was he going to say to Cady? 'Just so you know, I'm your Secret Admirer, do you love me too?' Oh yes, that will go really well. He could feel the butterflies going inside him. He had never felt so nervous, not since he asked Cady to be his girlfriend. Yes, really that was the last time he felt this nervous. He bit his lip, he stopped at the table and got a cup of punch, then he just downed it. He didn't know what he was going to say... He really wanted to go home and practice infront of the mirror. He did that usually, he guessed he was so excited about tonight that he forgot. Damn, the mirror never laughs at you if you say something completely stupid. What was he going to say. He started to think, but it was easier said than done. You couldn't just say something to a girl like Cady, you had to say it just right because she was just right. The right one. Or, ugh. He wasn't even making sense right now. She was basically so perfect, and beautiful and radient, he didn't want to mess up and look like a complete idiot. Hm, yeah that sounds like what he was trying to say. He shook himself out of it, he needed to just calm down. He knew what he'd say. He would just tell her. He quietly said it all under his breath, "Cady, I have to tell you something. For the past few weeks, you told me you've been getting these secret admirer letters... I know who it is. He cares about you a lot, and he's head over heels in love with you, and he's me. I'm your secret admirer." He smiled to himself, satisfied enough about his speech. Although he would probably change it dramatically when it came to the moment.
He turned from the table, looking around for Cady again. Still, not knowing anything about what she was wearing. He glanced around more. The only way he'd find her was to walk around, maybe he could find her by going back to the spot they said they would meet at. Maybe, very unlikely but it's possible, Cady was late herself. He squeezed through the crowds of people, he had to find her and tell you. It was the only thing on his mind for weeks, and it was finally time to tell her. He couldn't even think about what would happen if she had nothing for him and he told her, he was trying not to think about it. All he could think about is if she said she felt the same way, and then they could finally get back together. Everyone saw it, they all knew that Cady and Evan were the perfect couple. He was the goof, the klutzy guy that needed a perfect girl to balance his life. She was that girl, the gorgeous perfect, and smart one that he had wanted all his life but thought he'd never have. And now, there was a good chance that it would all work out in the end. Nothing could shake this smile from his face, absolutely nothing.
