PIPER IMOGEN O'NEIL.

as i write this letter,
FULL NAME: Piper Imogen O'Neil.
NICKNAMES?: Piper.
AGE: Twenty.
GRADE: Sophomore.
GENDER: Female.
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Straight.
OCCUPATION: Works in a fashion store.
SOCIAL STATUS: FIRST CLASS.
send my love to you,
HEIGHT: 5 foot.
WEIGHT: 108.
HAIR: Light brown, often tangled. Overreactive to certain weather, like humidity. Frizzes easily and is quite uncooperative. Reaches around three inches past her shoulders.
EYES: A rather plain brown. Small irises. Look for more than a second and you're caught in a world of creativity.
BODY TYPE: Petite, Fragile, Slight.
PIERCINGS/TATTOOS: A long, fading heart stretched down the upper right arm, reaching down to the elaborate tattoo on her right hand. Ears pierced.
ANYTHING ELSE?: Nada.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: Piper was never one to gain much weight to begin with. She isn't terribly into sports, but that doesn't really matter in her case. She had been a small baby, around 3 to four pounds, and fragile. She looks completely breakable; a twig in the hands of a giant, you could say. Slight in her being, with a minimal amount of curves to her frame, it would seem that she never ate. Though this may have been true before, Piper can eat a lot of things without gaining as much as a pound. Not that she keeps it on. It's partly due to the fact that her family is known for their high metabolisms. They have a killer metabolism, so why not Piper? Other than the high metabolism, Piper is one giant ball of energy, hyper at every turn and never calm. Weighing under one hundred and ten pounds, and standing at something like 5 foot, it's no surprise that she looks as if easily broken. Her legs are stick thin, and her arms to match. You wouldn't know it with the reckless behavior she potrays every now and then, but she finds that people are ridiculously careful around her when they first meet. It annoys Piper, but she goes along with it. You can't change who you are. She learned that the hard way.
Lage, well set eyes and innocent features. Her light brown optics hold small irises, compelling you to dig deeper into what might be instead of what meets your own eye. Endless possibilities and a firey desire that never dies; the first glance into her eyes, and that's what you'll find. They are surrounded by rather short lashes, often enhanced with a coat of mascara. Eyeliner is also common among the daily wears of her eyes. The shape of her face is odd in angle, oblong and somewhat pointy, but it suits her well. Pouty lips curve their way onto her face, soft and untouched under a rather petite nose. Her skin is fair, and porcelain smooth; well taken care of. She has a certain unique beauty about her that some miss and call unattractive, but she doesn't let that get to her.
Piper's hair is soft and curly when untouched. She does, however, like to straighten it every now and then. When the brunette strands are left alone with simply a brush and a few products thrown in, within an hour of doing what she 'does' it looks as though she's jus come out of a tornado. Piper never really made a point to ever pin her hair up, or use elastic bands. Her consistant style of side-swept bangs and leaving her hair down never really gets old. It suits her well and you'll seldom find her hair up. Easily tangled and uncooperative, she isn't all that fond of her hair.
Piper has an ironic sense of fashion. She isn't afraid to try on outlandish things and wear them daily. Though she may have a quirky sense of style, it always looks great, and that's what she aims for. A designer herself, Piper respects the highest in the fashion industry, wearing their clothes and splurging on things that she can hardly afford. She has a large variety of accesories, ranging from the crazy sunglasses to bold necklaces and bracelets. Piper also enjoys wearing a hat every now and then. She makes it a point to dress in bold, vivid colors and is definately an odd ball when it comes to fashion. Still, it looks good, so you can't really ridicule her.
Slim frame, intruinging features, and a quirky fashion sense. Piper doesn't have a lot of things other girls might have. What she does have, however, is her own unique style, and that's exactly what she aims for.
FACE CLAIM: [the name of the celebrity/person who portrays your character goes here.]
remember that i'll always,
GENERAL TRAITS: Hyper, odd-ball, loud, bold, arrogant, hilarious.
PERSONALITY:
- All that work her friends did on her never did a particle of good. Piper would always be her own person no matter what they did. She'd make her own choices, and do her own thing, because quite honestly; she doesn't need your help for anything. Her opinions are spoken, she's blunt and to the point, and she doesn't beat around the bush. She's brave; and that scares some people. Not just because it may seem intimidating, but it could put her into a lot of trouble. She's opinionated, bold, arrogant. Anything you wanted to call it. She doesn't want your help, she wants your friendship. She doesn't want to help you, she wants to help herself. Selfish, right? Some think so. Still, Piper Leah Dickens is a bowl of surprises, the ingredients being added with every breath, sight, sound, or smell that she takes in. Unpredictable, not selfish.
- There's a reason her nickname is Hyper Piper. She's loud. Very loud. She'll get her point across to you, because she's like a human with a built in megaphone. You'll never have a dull moment with her. She's adventerous, talkative, and likes to be doing something at all times. It's hard for her to settle down or stop fidgeting. Calm? That's definately a word out of Piper's dictionary. Not to mention her sugar highs. She's pretty out of hand most of the time, her quirky sense coming into play when you find her substitute for walking is dancing and skipping, or she does something rash and unexpected. It's like we say; unpredictable. You won't get her to stop talking if she's in the mood, and she won't talk if she isn't. She does her own thing, and nobody controls her.
- She's absolutely hilarious. One funny face and she has you on the floor laughing. That's not all, however. She can always come up with witty comments and counter-comments to whatever you say. Let's just call it a gift, but she's definately one of the funniest people you'll ever meet. Her friends are very important to her, and so is their happiness.
- Piper's clothes aren't the only thing that's bold. A huge part of who she is entails her to be a brave person. Not only in mind but in heart as well. She'll be the first one to try it out, and the last one to give up. That's all part of the reason why she gets herself into more trouble than she ever intended. Piper Leah can be every bit as dangerous as a chainsaw, and she'll rip you right to shreds if you get too close. She's not afraid to try something new, and she's definately not afraid of anybody. It would be surprising to know, but Piper is actually more afraid of herself than the situations she gets into. Especially in relationships; it's a commitment issue, sure. But it's what frightens her the most out of everything she's done; and she's done a lot. If Piper is afraid of anything, it's herself.
- Though she may be bubbly and quite spirited at times (hyper in the least), Piper's largest trait is her arrogance. More or less being rude to those around her. Though she may be rude, she never speaks something that isn't true. This makes it impossible to deffend. Piper will tell you what she thinks of you, and she's blunt all the way down to the core. Just don't make her angry; she'll use all of this information she makes a point to gather against you. She's easy to hold a grudge, and you don't want on her bad side. Piper is rude, blunt, honest, and very arrogant in her best hour. When she wants answers, she'll get them. One way or another.
- Piper is a quirky girl. She has so many odd things about her that it's hard to believe that she's quite loved by most people. She's an odd-ball, doing things the wierdest way possible just to be her own self. That's important to her; to be herself. She doesn't want anybody else to do that for her. Difference is important, but looking good is too. As long as she's herself, she doesn't mind being the odd one of the group. In fact, she's quite honored to be as quirky as people say she is. Who knows? Maybe that quirkiness counts for something.
- She has a horrible temper. When something goes wrong, she's all for fixing it. But when somebody or something tries to bring her down, you're in for it. She's like part Blair Waldorf in a way. Holding grudges is her specialty, and when you get on her last nerve; you better watch your back. Though she's easily provoked, she can be fun aswell. Just make sure you don't make her angry. She's the crazy bitch around here, and she's not afraid to get violent.
- Weight obsessed. Piper has always had a problem with the way she looked, no matter what. Mostly because of her weight. She's short and has hardly any fat on her body mass at all, but when she looks in the mirror all she sees is imperfection. Though she dropped the habit long ago, she still likes an occasional drink every now and then. Why should it be illegal when she's already done it so many times before? She'll smoke the occasional cigarette as well.
- The first and foremost thing you must know about Piper (even though it's last on the list of personality traits) is that her one and true passion is art. Whether it be in the form of photography or even in something natural, she's got an obsession for it. Fashion seems to be a big part of it as well. You can see this in what she chooses to wear; though it may be strange, it always looks good. She'll wear the name brands her way, not theirs. Her eyse are that of an artist, and she'll always see things with creativity in mind and soul, no matter what anybody tells her. She loves being who she is and not who people tell her to be. It's the reason why she loves art so much. Free. Moving. Beautiful. Everything she aspires to be rolled into one. Still, she has so many flaws about her that ruin it... sometimes the art just isn't enough.
- Quirky. Odd. Artistic. Crazy. If I could write out everything to describe Piper Leah Dickens, i'm sure that you'd be reading for a lot longer. Still, these are the basic oultines of her; the most important. To her, at least.
FEARS:
- Dying, or the death of a friend around her.
- Silence.
- Guns/Gunshots
- Murderers
HABITS:
- touching her hair.
- babbling.
QUIRKS:- Doesn't keep down a lot of her food when upset.
- Tends to avoid bad situations.
- Can't sleep well when something's wrong.
- Amnidexterous.
- Can do both still life and creative art.
- Laughs very easily at pretty much everything.
- Avoids talking about the past or future at all costs.
STRENGTHS:
- Artistic and creative with everything.
- Hilarious. She can counter-comment anything with her own witty statement.
- Adored by many for her sense of happiness and freedom.
WEAKNESSES:
- Judges too quickly.
- Anger issues. Holds a grudge easily.
- Isn't serious enough about certain situations.
- Very outspoken. She'll speak her mind.
ANOTHER PERSON'S OPINION ON YOUR CHARACTER: She's a fucking psycho bitch. But who cares? She's hell creative. Ask her for help on an art project and you've automatically got an A. People kind of follow her for some reason. It's not like she asks them to, but whatever. She's cool, and a lot of people like her. Then again, a lot of people hate her.."
be in love with you,
FAMILY:
GEORGINA MAE DICKENS; mother. 38. artist.
MASON LIAM DICKENS; father. 40. drunk.
RILLA MAE DICKENS; sister. 26. band manager.
HOMETOWN: Los Angeles, California
HISTORY: It wasn't as if she were a planned child. Her parents never planned anything. They had a hard enough time getting by, taking care of two kids. Now this one? Ugh, what did people want from them, right? Mason and Georgina got married for the money, really. He had come from a rich background while she had everything he ever wanted; even if she wasn't rich or famous like most of the girls he had met before. It wasn't really out of love, but lust that drove them to marriage. Georgie was a talented artist while Mason was a business owner with his family. They lived happily for a long while until Piper dropped a bomb on all of their plans.
They were a family of four, and a family of five was just another kid to take care of, pay for, and raise. Piper Leah Dicken's birth was quick, to the point, and hardly cared about. They brought her home without any celebration, and didn't buy her anything new if they could help it. They treated her as a burden, and valued their two older children over her. Growing up in Los Angeles with no parental supervision whatsoever might've turned her into some horrible, decieving, and ruined girl with no moral background or raising. This, however was never really the case with Piper. She had to learn how to take care of herself. Though they tried their best, her siblings couldn't really handle her. Besides, she seemed to be doing good on her own.
From the age of one to ten, her parents barely took care of her. They did what they had to and let her do what she wanted. She spent her days in her room, playing or drawing while her siblings entered state of the art competitions. When she was old enough, she went out and had fun with friends; always playing leader, and always being followed. In school, she would've been the odd girl, and she was. But people never really ridiculed her for who she was. It was 'in' to be yourself. After all, Piper packed a mean punch. Through her schooling years she got what she wanted just so she'd leave her parents alone. When she simply wanted to talk, they'd thrust money at her and go back to whatever they were doing, whether it be paperwork or painting. Piper never really asked for much, as she would rather earn it herself. By the time she was fourteen, she had already been hired at a music store somewhere downtown, earned her own share of money and pocketed what her parents gave her to save up for something. Her two siblings were in boarding school while she was in public school. She didn't mind, though. As long as she didn't have to conform, she was fine. She just walked the walk, and people followed. She didn't really ask them to. Her brother was a big part of her life. His guidance was what kept her going, and she went to him if she had any problems.
When she turned fifteen, she began to gain self consiousness of her weight and general appearance. Though she would never let anybody know, she was completely disgusted with herself. One night, home alone because her family was out to dinner, she looked at the scale. It was all done after that. The toothbrush was jammed down her throat, and an eerie silence filled her. Though the water ran, and the choking noises seemed to overwhelm the realm of sanity, the silence was there, covering everything with a thick and violent darkness that Piper couldn't escape. She tried to, after that. Her 'condition' got worse.
Meanwhile, she had gotten into partying. Trying to escape what she had done wasn't working. The little black rain cloud was persistant in pursuing her, no matter how hard she tried to leave it behind. It caused her to do this to herself. It caused her to abuse her body. She hurt herself, too. Self-inflicted wounds cut diagonally across her arm. But that was too cliche, wasn't it? She did it anyways. Piper didn't care anymore. All she cared about was looking like she mattered in this world, instead of some fat cow that didn't do what she wanted. Her friends took her to parties. She threw them in allys. She broke the law, and didn't care. All that mattered now was the drugs and the alcohol. She'd get high often and come home drunk. Not that her parents cared; as long as she didn't drag any of her low-class friends into their lovely home. Standing by were two siblings. The brother, concerned. The sister? Not so much. She was caught up with hiding her own little agenda and soon left the Dickens household to join a band and throw away her college career.
The alcohol was sweet. It did what she wanted without having to make herself do it. Instead, the alcohol that poisoned her system did it for her. It ran through her in large quantities and she couldn't keep it down. She used this a scapegoat to her problem; a simple cover-up. Then it happened. Piper was in her bathroom, doing what shouldn't have been doing. She was too drunk to even think straight. She grabbed the razor, but the door opened. Stumbling into her room, she found her brother by the nightstand.. the cocaine was there. So was the alcohol. He looked up at her, and she stared back at him, bloodshot eyes that usually held creative, lively images were dull and used. What else did you expect?
Piper was used up by everything; drugs. alcohol. guys. She had lost her spark at the age of sixteen, and now he stood in this position to help her. What do you think he was going to do? He informed her in a calm voice that he was going to tell his parents. Piper knew that it wasn't going to do any good. They didn't give a shit about what she did. How she used her time. They didn't care about her to begin with. Her drunken voice tried to splutter these words. He tried to move towards the door... but she pursued him, following right out onto the landing. She grabbed his arm and he pushed her against the wall. She pushed him back and yelled at him. "I hate you!" she slurred, stumbling back into her bedroom after watching him skip down the steps.
As it was, he never really did tell their parents. When he needed to clear his head, he went for a drive. If Piper's mind had been in the right place, she would've noticed the front door slamming and the engine roaring to life. That drive had gotten him killed.
After that, her father became quite irrelevent to help. He was drunk most of the time after they held the funeral, and her mother struggled to hold up two jobs. Piper didn't care anymore. She dropped the habits after that. It hit her hard of what she had done the morning after. She was a murderer. It was her fault he was dead. If she hand't been so stupid he would still be alive, now would he? Thoughts like this haunted her mind, and she dreamt of his mangled body, thrown to the shoulder of the road. Nobody knew what she had done before he died. Nobody had to know. Dropping the habit was easier than expected. Along with the habits, she dropped her friends and her old school. Her mother began to care about her a bit more, but her father spent his days in the dark sleeping it off. When he did emmerge, it was to yell at Georgia. Piper had even seen him hit her a couple of times.
Piper had pulled herself together for the first time in her life, and she cared about things. She was happy, cheerful, and hyper again. That spark had come back, because she knew her brother would've wanted that. She had gotten closer to her mother within the seventeenth year of her life as well as sobered up. Life was looking up for a change despite the events that had happened. Without a doubt, Piper would hold that night against herself forever. But he wouldn't have wanted her to end up like she had been. Piper didn't even get to say goodbye to him. The least she could do was honor him and become the person he loved her to be.
One night, in her eighteenth year of life and upon needing to talk to her mother about a college tutorial she wanted to take, she entered the study of their home to find a gun pointing from the hand of her drunken father to the face of her frightened mother. This was unreal. Her brother, and now this? No. She was dreaming. Piper would pinch herself and then wake up, right? But no.. her mother grabbed the gun in one swift movement, and it bounced off of her hands, sliding across the floor. Her father, outraged and mindless, pushed her to the ground and began to choke her. Piper didn't know what to do.. he father, a man who had been so stately and right in his place before her brother died had resulted to drinking. This is what it caused. This was all her fault. All her fault. Everything spun out of control. She heard herself screaming but she didn't know what she was saying.."Stop.. stop.. she's dying.." Piper picked up the gun and the trigger was pulled. She had never shot a gun before, and this fascinated her for the moment. Her mother's scream ripped through her like a knife. Her father collapsed. The bullet went through his back, and out his chest. Blood leaked from his mouth as he lay there. This was stupid. It was unreal. This wasn't happening. This kind of stuff happened in movies and in dramatic TV shows, but not to her. Not after everything. Yet, here she was.. standing here with the gun in her hand. The gun clattered to the floor. Just like her mind.
Her mother thought it best if she moved away. So when the time came for her to, she did. Piper doesn't regret killing her father. He abused their family, and he never loved them. Still, she lives with that every day; she killed somebody. Even if it was in deffense, she did it. Somebody died because of her. It haunts her, but she does her best to live life to the fullet.
