Kate would have died in that lecture if she had stayed any longer, she was so thankful for her good friend Cady. Keatie had liked Cady from the first time she had met her. They were good friends, and Keatie had fit in well in the whole "best friend" circle. They were all fun girls, great girls, and pretty girls. Kate had decided it would be best to take her black chevy Corvette Z06. They had successfully escaped the evil jaws of the professor, and were on their way to freedom to STARBUCKS! Kate had put on some Justin Timberlake as they had driven down to SB. It wasn't really far, but she didn't want to walk out in this weather. Screw that. So Cady dear. How have you been lately? You should really text me or something every now and then. She turned her head and smiled at her, before looking back at the road and seeing the building coming into view.
Kate pulled up into the parking space, and turned the engine off. God, I am glad to finally get here. I swear that guys mouth was never going to stop. She rolled her eyes, as she stepped out the car in her cute sandals, with her little white sun dress on. She pushed her rather large sunglasses to the top of her head, and walked to her good friend, took her hand and walked in there like she was someone really important or something. Like they had been missing her for years, and now they had returned to them! But they just gave her a look like "what the hell" and continued making coffee and mixing stuff in blenders. Walking over to the counter and looking at the menu for a few seconds, Kate finally spoke I'll have a white mocha, and what will you have Cady? It's on me today. She loved paying for things, mainly because she just liked giving her friends whatever she could. Not like she didn't enjoy being spoiilt, what girl didn't? But she loved to see her friends faces when she bought them something new and exciting. Starbucks wasn't really new and exciting, but, she would still pay for it. It was only damn coffee.
Keatie thought a lot of Cady. She thought she was one of those beautiful girls, both inside and out. She had gorgeous blond hair, much more prettier than her own, in Kate's opinion. When Cady was around, Kate was a lot more humbler, less stuck up, and focused more on what Cady was actually saying instead of what perfume she was wearing, or how nice she had arranged her outfit. Plus not to mention Cady was very well known, and guys loved her. I mean, who wouldn't? She had inner beauty, not just the outside stuff. Kate was jealous of her, really jealous. She envied Cady's amazing personality and gorgeous face. She wouldn't ever say anything though, people always thought Kate was so confidant in herself. What a big lie.
((Sorry its crappy D: Im tired and i have a bit of WB.))

Oh man, oh man was she glad that Keatie had that class with her. That professor could have jabbed on for the rest of the day. She made a mental note in that blonde-haired head of hers to have somebody give her the notes. That was never really a problem with Cadence. She could always get notes from anybody, because she was just one of those people. The kind that everybody thought was 'totally awesome'. She was just the way she was, and with the circumstantial outcome, it was no lie that Cady was well-known and loved. Keatie, one of her best friends, had rescued her. Cadence refused to drive around in a dinged up car like her own. She remembered back on the thought of it, her poor solid blue Jeep XJ sitting in the driveway of her apartment. She had come out of the mall to find that somebody had put a nice little dent in the driver's side door. It had pissed her off pretty bad, and she had gone to class a bit angry. But now everything was fine; she was with one of the most beautiful people she knew, going to one of the most well-known coffee houses, and listening to some bumpin' music in a non-dented car. What more could a girl ask for?
"I just got my phone fixed yesterday! Apparently the card got screwed up or whatever.." she took her phone out of her bag absent-mindedly, flipping it open to check her missed calls. She had around five and made another mental note to see who it was later. "What about you? I haven't heard from you in so long. Too long!" she smiled, nodding her head to the Justin Timberlake that bumped from the speakers of the Corvette. They arrived at Starbucks, marched in, and ordered their coffee. "Just a Grande-Size Mocha." she informed the cashier. He knew Cady, so he put her name on both cups before they moved to the pick-up counter. Once they had their coffee, Cady lead her model-worthy friend to a seat in the corner. It was her favorite, because you could see what the city was doing while being nice and private. "So! How've you been? Anything interesting go on since we last hung out?" she tried to strike up a conversation. Cady was always that way; outgoing, bubbly, golden. From what she was told, quite compelling as well. She didn't see how. She was just an ordinary, outgoing being that loved to be happy. What was so special about that?
Keatie, on the other hand. She was special. Her wide-set, deep blue eyes were compelling in themselves. Not to mention the beautiful blonde hair and curvy, perfect lips that she had. Everything about her was beautiful, and Cady didn't know why she had to be told that. All of her friends were beautiful, or at least Cady thought. Her opinion was valued by many; something else she didn't understand. Cady thought highly of Keatie because of her high-class ways, and her interests in other's lives. It was a refresher to some; and she actually listened. It wasn't like some other people, where Cady might as well have been talking to a rock. She sipped at her scorching hot coffee. It was so decieving; the scent was lucious, comforting, and addicting while the taste was entirely different; bitter, stale, and sometimes disgusting. Still, people had added things with it to make it seem so much more than that. The sugars, creams, and chocolate. It was sort of how Cady tried to live. Make something decieving and bitter, and add some happiness to it. What do you know? You have a whole new perspective on things.
Cady looked across from her, the gorgeous girl staring back at her and ready to speak. Her friends were all very special and dear to Cady. Nobody could ever replace them or even attempt to take them away from her. They didn't dare. They were everything, and she held them in the highest regards. She loved her friends. She loved her life, and right now she was completely content.

Oh god, I hate it when phones do that. You think people would make them better. She had rolled her eyes at those stupid phone people. Didn't they ever think to make better phone cards and more droppable phones? How selfish of them. Never thinking about other people but themselves. I'm good! And I know! I missed you so much Cady! She was being serious, she really had missed her best friend. Of course she wasn't like, writing sappy friendship songs and checking her phone every five seconds - but she had to keep a mental note to go see Cady soon, or something. God she missed that girl.
It wasn't just the fact that Cady was fun, but she was also everything Kate wanted to be. She was the kind of person who was super easy to get a long with, always looking on the bright side of life. She swore that was Cady's life song or something. "Always look on the bright side of life, always look on the light side of life." Wow, Kate had been watching way too much Monty Python. But seriously, Cady was a sweet girl, with beauty and brains. Kate was very jealous of her, in fact, who wouldn't be? Cady was going somewhere, with real friends instead of the fake ones. Where was Keatie going? In a shit hole filled with alcohol and sex. She loved Cady, but envied her all at the same time.
So! How've you been? Anything interesting go on since we last hung out? Kate shook her head slowly. Not really Cady. Me and Tin moved in together, and um. Nothing. So she had met a few more people, gone to class and uh, partied some more? That was her daily schedule it seemed. She didn't like who she was at all though; why couldn't she be more like Cady? She chewed on her lip gently as she sipped on her drink and looked out to the window. So Cady! What about you? Any new beaus in your life? She winked playfully and giggled a little. Any guy who had her would be extremely lucky. Cadence would make an amazing girl friend. Not in a lesbian way, but anyone could tell that. She was one of those friends she could go to for anything.
She had considered talking to Cady about her depression, but had voted against it in her head many times. Not because she didn't trust her, she did with her life. But Kate didn't like admitting it to herself. What would she be doing if she openly came out and said she really hated where her life was going. It was pretty obvious to anyone with brains Kate could get out of control, and with Tinsley and her together. It got a lot worse. As much as Tin and her loved each other, they were both really bad influences.

[ click here for clothes ] "I know, right?" Cady responded to the amazing girl she was accompanied by. The people at the phone company had given her a very hard time. In fact, they put up an actual fight with her when she told them she needed a new phone for the same price as the old one. All of her pictures and contacts had been completely wiped out. She deserved another phone, in her opinion. Cadence tried to make a point to keep up with her friends. They meant a lot to her, and she would do almost anything to make them happy. Keeping in touch was one of her strong points, a gift you might call it. It was hard to keep up sometimes, since she was friends with so many people, but letting her besties rule out in that factor was easy for her. Her main circle of friends really consisted of Brett, Tinsley, and Keatie. Today, she would hang out with the beautiful girl in front of her for a little bit. Who knows? Maybe they'd end shopping somewhere. Most likely, since Cady was craving a few new articles of clothing. Today she wore a striped number, red in color and conforming to her body shape. It complimented her toned frame. All of her clothes were fashionable. All of them were expensive. That's just how she was! First class all the way, babe.
"Tinsley? That's great! When did you move in with her?" Tinsley Carmichael was another one of Cady's besties. Sure, she could be on the ditzy side, but Cadence couldn't love her more. She had a lot of heart to her, that one did. What had she done? Managed to lead her best friend on, got some letters from a 'secret admirer' and helped out a totally drunk guyfriend of hers. What else would she be doing, silly Keatie! "Blah. Nothing much." she replied simply. She didn't really feel like explaining everything. Especially the Brandon portion of that whole thing. "As for guys? Eh. I get a few secret admirer letters. They're wierd." she took one out of her purse to show it to Keatie. "See? Isn't it wierd? I don't even know who it is. It makes me mad that I can't think of anybody. I don't know. Maybe it's just a joke or something." she glanced at it while handing to her friend. Cady had honestly tried to figure out who might've given her the letters. She was too afraid to find out, however. What if it were somebody she knew? What if it were to be the one she loved as well? She scoffed at this. She didn't love anybody like that, as far as she was concerned. Cady smiled when her friend winked.
Keatie was always so full of life. She had the party spirit to her, and you couldn't deny a good time when you were with her. The blonde strands of hair surrounded her illuminated face. Keatie was nothing less than model-worthy, her fine, wide-set eyes a piercing blue. Lips of fine silk, and skin to compliment it. Keatie was perfect, and Cady herself couldn't help but be a little jealous. That was a thing with her, however. She liked to believe that she was good enough. After getting through her bullimia stage, it had taken her a long time to recover. She finally felt good about herself for once, and she wanted to keep it that way. Keatie was so amazing, it was hard to believe that Cady could even befriend her. Then again, Cady could befriend most anybody. She was happy to report that Keatie was one of the few people she could go to for absolutely anything. It was comforting to know that there were people there for her. Everybody knew they could go to Cady. She was the most trustworthy person in Waverly, most likely, and she could have you comforted within a matter of minutes.
"So, gorgeous. I think we should see a movie or something tonight. Invite some people with us?" she knew that Keatie was more into the party scene. As were most of her friends, but it would be nice to take a break from that. Besides, she wanted to see Hancock. Excitement pumped through her emotions as she remembered seeing Keatie with a new kid. What was his name again? Alex? Yeah. The freshman. He was pretty cute and had some killer blue eyes. Still, he was young. Really young. When it came to guys, Cady really didn't get into elaborate detailing. Relationships didn't work for her, and she had some serious commitment issues going on. It was an inner battle she had fought for so long, she found that it would probably be a bit more wise to just forget about having a serious, committed relationship right now. Especially if somehow they fell in .... love. The word alone scared Cady. She loved her friends, she loved her family, she loved her life. But love hurt. A lot. She had the scar on her left calf to prove it. She let herself got lost in thought while she waited for Keatie to answer, sipping on her iced coffee. It was hot out, warmer than usual.
Cadence didn't mind the weather, though. It was all the more reason to dress in some cute summer clothes. It was the end of her fun, however. Just two more weeks until classes started back up. How depressing. She didn't mind school all that much; in fact, it was sort of exciting for her. Beng a fashion journalist was an amazing job, and Cady had a knack for it. Happy and content were the emotions she felt most of the time, and she was grateful for it.
