Evan signed as he looked at himself in the mirror. He didn't know why he was so nervous, it wasn't a date. No, it was just a meeting with his ex-girlfriend that he was still in love with. Evan bit his lip and stared down at the floor, he didn't know how to act without making it seem so obvious. They hadn't hung out alone since they broke up. It's always been with friends, like Jude was there or something. He slowly brought his head back up to match with the mirror's reflection. He lived on campus, so Cady was closer to Sushi Samba than he was. He looked nice, though. He was wearing a nice white button-up dress shirt, a maroon tie with gold designing on it, and black dress pants. I guess you could say Evan Chambers cleaned up nicely.
Evan looked over at the door. It was now or never, and he definitely wasn't going to pass the opportunity up. He began to walk to the door of his dorm room, feeling a heart beat going a mile a minute. He opened it, finding the hall of the dorms completely empty. Well, it was still pretty early for the guys most of them went out around eight or nine to go clubbing or partying or something of that nature. He shrugged off the though. Shutting the door behind him, he began to walk down the hallway towards the staircase. Evan was on the second floor, so he didn't have too long of a way down. One kid tried to jump off the second story actually.. He lived. That's how low these ceilings are in this building. Well, at least the one Evan was in. He pushed the door open walking into the stairwell. It was humid in here, there was absolutely no air conditioning. It was also very bland and boring inside, practically all cement walls with cement stairs and red steel handlebars. Ugly as heck. He carefully made his way down the stairs, it didn't take long to get to the first floor enterance. He smiled weakly at it and pulled it open, walking out and letting it shut loudly behind him, 'I feel bad for the poor sap who was in there when that door shut, must have killed his hearing.' Evan made his way out of the hallway, turning the corner finding one of the exits right infront of him. He walked outside, finding a quick chilling wind hit him. He shivered a little, then walked on.
He knew that there was a shortcut to the road, he'd get a taxi so he didn't have to walk so far. He walked quickly, not that he was excited about going on a friend date with his ex, he wasn't... Okay, yeah he was. Could you blame the guy?! He flagged down a taxi, jumping in the car, "Sushi Samba, please," he requested to the driver. He sat back, putting the seatbelt on. It was a 20 minute walk, but a five minute drive on a good day. The driver quietly drove, with no radio, talking, or sound. Evan wasn't sure what to expect.. He still had a lot of feelings for Cady. He'd be honest about it. Yeah, he liked Georgina. And yeah, he liked Valarie. But he was still in love with Cady. Was that bad? He would jump to be be with her again, over both of the other girls. He felt the car stop, looking outside he could see that they were outside of Sushi Samba. He unbuckled the seatbelt, sliding out after opening the door. Shutting it behind him he looked through the passenger side window handing the driver his money. He turned around after the driver took the money from him, staring at the door. He took a deep breath, deeper than the ones he was taking when he was looking in the mirror. He slowly walked to the door, he pushed it open and walked in.

EVAN ANTHONY CHAMBERS -------------------------------------------------------------- Evan was nervous, he wasn't exactly one hundred percent sure why. It's just Cady, just a friend. Nothing more, right? It would have been a lot easier on him if Cady had made it a "day date" then Evan really would have known there was no way on god's green earth that they would ever get back together. But no, it had to be at 7PM. Not to mention at Sushi Samba, which was a pretty exclusive restaurant. He was actually slightly surprised that Cady wanted to hang out without a group. Evan always figured that she was just worried others would think they were dating and they weren't. All Evan knew was that he had never felt so much for one person in his lifetime. He wasn't sure what it was about her that made his heart skip a beat. I guess you could say all the times he has asked a girl out on a date, he's been trying desperately to get over his one and only. He won't lie, he has had a few dreams of her actually telling him that she feels the same way he does. It'll never happen to be realistic.
Evan decided to go in and try to find Jude or something to get a table. He had a plan, he wasn't going to let Miss Cady pay. What kind of guy do you think he is, seriously?! Evan was the kind of guy you thought of as a gentleman. He walked inside seeing the girl at the front desk just staring him down as if she knew he wasn't really supposed to be there, 'What's the name under the Reservation?' she asked almost a bit rude. "I don't have one, I'm looking for Jude Kite?" She looked at him for a moment, a bit nervous now. Probably thought he was a health inspector or something. He wanted to laugh, but he didn't. She smiled and nodded, 'Right, the manager. I will go see if he is in the back and see if he can come see you.' Evan nodded in approval, "Just tell him Evan and Cady want to see him, he will know who I am." The girl nodded and called over a waiter, or another Hostess, whispering something to her. The other girl looked at Evan a moment and gave a light smile, she then walked away towards a door, probably to the kitchen or an office or something. The hostess girl looked at Evan, 'We will see if he can come out.' Evan nodded, turning around, but stopping and looking back at her, "I'll be out here looking for a friend."
He turned away from the girl again, heading towards the door. He slowly opened it, but before he could really step outside, he heard his name. An adorable smile found Evan's face, his eyes scanned the sidewalk, finding Cady. She looked amazing, but she always did. He couldn't help but wonder how goofy his smile looked right now. His heart pretty much just stopped when she gave him a friendly hug, but what really made him almost fall over and stop breathing was that kiss on the cheek. He missed all this, a lot. He hugged back, but he wasn't sure if he should, so he just gave a short hold on hug. "Hey Cady," he pulled a little, "You look great," he complimented her. He always did though, everytime they were out, even if it was a group of people. He always took the initiative to tell Cady how pretty she looked, "As always, I mean." He glanced back at the girl, who was staring at them, "I found her!" He shrugged giving a sweet smile. He turned to Cady again, "I asked them to bring Jude out, unless I didn't need to? Although, he probably would be mad at me if I ever came without telling him," Evan laughed a bit. Although they were standing in the doorway, he finally noticed that they were probably slightly in the way. "So, I was thinking we should probably move out of the doorway so other people can get in and out.." Evan commented in a suggestive way.

` worn me down like a road , Jude was always nice to Cady and Evan. Especially Evan, since he was Jude's best friend. Everybody naturally loved Cady, so it was no wonder that one of the most loving guys in Manhatten would love her as well. She wasn't one of those 'i'm so cool you have to love me' people. She just had a really awesome personality that everybody seemed to take to really well. There were the occasional few that didn't like her, however, and it was mostly because they were simply jealous. Sometimes of her friends, but mostly her personality in general. People simply couldn't accept that she wasn't a stuck up snob just because of the friends she had. Brett Kite and Tinsley Carmichael were pretty much a handful. Cady seemed like the only one who could really handle them well. It was a mystery to most. You'd think that they'd be quite rude to her; but Cadence overwhelmed them. Besides, she had been friends with Brett since they were in diapers. That was always an advantage. How could you note be friends with Cady, after all? She was one of the friendliest people you'd ever meet. Besides, what was there not to like?
Then there was Evan Anthony Chambers. This awesome guy who everybody over-looked most of the time. Still, he always made his way into the picture with his humerous disposition that always had Cady laughing. Not to mention everybody else. She swore that someday her gut was going to burst because she was laughing too hard when Evan was around. Cady's mind had convinced her that she was over him, and that she wanted to be 'just friends'. But her heart was struggling to service with some logical thinking. For love, that is. Love was never logical. Ever. Cady had definately learned that the hard way. Evan said his hellos, and if Cady didn't know any better she'd say he blushed when she hugged and kissed him. Oh well. It had been a while. Then he complimented her, just as he always did and it was her turn to blush. "You look great, too." she complimented back, smiling again. "Oh..pfft, yeah." she said, giggling a little before moving out of the doorway when Evan suggested such action. They moved towards an empty corner to wait for Jude. Cady had already called him, but knowing Jude...speak of the devil, there he was. He moved out of the crowd, his black clothes complimenting him well. He was handsome, Cady couldn't deny that. "Hello, hello." he greeted them with a smile, gazing across the resteraunt. "Just take the back table. Enjoy." he smiled and disappeared again. "Sorry, work!" he apologized as he melted into the background again. The lady behind the podium gave them an awkward look before showing them to their table.
Cady hadn't done this in a while now, so it seemed sort of wierd at first. Evan, however, was an amazing guy. There was no need to be apprehensive about digging right into the conversation to be made. They sat down and the waitress brought them each a glass of water, some wine, and two more glasses. Cady nodded and smiled up at her before she left. "So, Mr. Evan. How haver you been?" it was a good start. Her eyes sparkled like the light jewlery she wore that night, her hair shining in the light as well. Cady and Evan had a past together. It was a bit wierd to think about, but she did. They had been a year younger than they were now. It had also been a while since they had talked. In fact, they hadn't talked much since they had broken it off about a year ago. They did, however, come to some terms of friendship. They were both just too amazing to not be friends. At least that's what Cady saw it as. Evan was great, and she honestly didn't know why it had to end. Probably her commitment fears. They ruined everything. But Cady was determined to make this work anyways. The friendship thing.
So here they were. Hopefully it would work out okay...
